Join us for a special Tibetan New Year series to deepen your understanding of smoke offering, Lungta, and related practices with Drubpon Pema Rigdzin.
The practice of Riwo Sangchö, Mountain Smoke Offering from the 17th Century Treasure Revealer Lhatsun Namkha Jigme is especially potent in purifying illnesses for beings and the environment, removing obstacles, and accumulating the two kinds of merit through the offering of fragrant smoke, visualization, and mudrā to the four categories of guests (the triple gem, protectors, the six classes of beings, and our karmic debtors).
The multifaceted aspects of the practice will be introduced, from the history and practical elements to an understanding of how to take this all-encompassing practice to the ultimate level.
“Through this diamond-like practice of Riwo Sangchö, one can ‘ransom’ death, purify the misuse of offerings, and avert various obstacles.”
Terton Lhatsun Namkha Jigme
Windhorse | Lungta
Windhorse (Lungta) represents our capacity for movement and realization. When Lungta is low, one is prone to experiencing setbacks in different areas of life. When lungta increases, we experience good fortune, well-being, wealth, and other positive effects on our lives.
Reconnecting to our spiritual roots using fragrant smoke offerings, raising prayer flags and other effective methods of support exist within the Tibetan healing system. Those methods will be introduced and explained.
“Reciting this daily will bring lasting auspiciousness and ensure that every action undertaken is accomplished without obstacles, just as one wishes. It will greatly enhance the power and strength of merit and the Wind Horse, increase renown and resources, and bring success to all Dharma-aligned aspirations. Supreme and common attainments will be swiftly realized.”
