Healing in Tibetan Dharma & Medical Traditions Workshop

Join us to explore the process of healing in the Vajrayana Buddhist and medical traditions. We will discuss the relationship between health and disease from somatic, philosophical, and tantric perspectives. Topics will include views of embodiment, causes, and roots of diseases, physical and subtle methods of diagnosis, and various therapeutic tools that we can use to enhance vitality and cure disease.

Orgyen Menla Teaching, Transmission, & Ceremony
with Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche

2-4 pm. In-Person and Online

Lama Sonam Rinpoche will bestow the Orgyen Menla oral transmission from the Dudjom Tersar Lineage, followed by a short teaching and a ganachakra celebration

Through the compassion of the Buddhas, Orgyen Menla, the Medicine Buddha form of Guru Rinpoche, manifests to prevent and heal all kinds of suffering. By connecting to this powerful deity with recitation of mantra and making offerings, we can prevent and cure physical disease and mental and emotional suffering.

Lama Sonam Tsering Rinpoche is a Nyingma master of Tibetan Buddhism. He studied at Dudjom Rinpoche’s monastery, Dudul Rabten Ling where he graduated with a Khenpo degree. Lama Sonam has received instructions from Dudjom Rinpoche, Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche, Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, and many other great masters. He was invited to the United States by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche and spent many years as the resident Lama at Dechen Ling. He taught at Dungse Thinley Norbu Rinpoche’s Lotus School in New York and was entrusted to oversee and guide the Vajrayana Foundation by Dungse Rinpoche and Lama Tharchin Rinpoche.

Suggested offering: $40 for each event or $60 for both
