The First Ever Thangka of Dudjom Lingpa and Twelve Heirs

A Fulfillment in the Dharma

Drangsong Foundation has commissioned the production of a first-of-a-kind thangka of Treasure Revealer Heruka Dudjom Lingpa and his twelve heirs (eight sons and five daughters), on behalf of Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche, a direct descendant of Dudjom Lingpa and his son, Tersé Drime Özer.

Pema Namdol Thaye is the architect and designer for the late Dudjom Sangye Pema Shepa Rinpoche’s Zangdok Pelri Mandala Temple Project. He began working closely with Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche to produce this intricate twenty-two-figure masterpiece in April 2025. It is expected to take approximately six months to complete.

The arrangement of the thangka envisioned by Rinpoche is based on a treasure revealed by Patrul Namkha Jigme, one of Dudjom Lingpa’s sons. This work is being done in connection with the upcoming Golok Volume I of the Dudjom Tersar History Series.
